Security leaves a first (and last) impression on patrons. Empyrean's Certificate II in Security Operations tailors training to ensure Security Officers are 100% job ready.

Empyrean uses scenario-based practical exercises for assessment, rather than text book learning, and the first aid training has been specially developed for Security Officers (cuts, bruises and broken bones; response to suspected drug overdoses and management of other emergency situations).

All Empyrean training adheres to National Training Guidelines and topics students will cover in the Security Operations course include:

  • Basic legislation
  • Effective communications
  • Teamwork
  • Cultural issues
  • Youth issues
  • Responding to security risk situations
  • Understanding body language
  • Operating security equipment
  • Working with police
  • Interviewing persons and taking notes
  • Apply First Aid (contextualised for Security Officers).

All Empyrean instructors have up to date and relevant training skills and operational experience; dealing with security related issues ranging from counter-terrorism, close protection, infrastructure security and risk management to major civil unrest.
